Lombard memorial hospital proudly introduces the KARUNALAYA GERIATRIC NURSING CARE which was inaugurated on 29.10.2021 by our bishop Rt .Rev Mohan Manoraj.The guests of honor were Rev Ivan.D. Soans,Area Chairman,KSD Udupi; Mr Ramesh Kanchan, President Udupi Block Congress/Councillor and Mr Vijay Poojari,Councillor,Bailoor area and presided by our Director, Dr Sushil Jathanna.

Our Geriatric unit comprises of 1 Special room,1 Semi-Special Room and 17 General beds. Karunalaya Geriatric Nursing Care Unit is supervised by trained nurses to take care of the health issues of the residents. All the health issues will be addressed with utmost care. A qualified doctor will be made available for periodical, routine requirements of the residents. Residents will be served normal, balanced, good quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian food depending on their request.Laundry services are also available within the campus.

Karunalaya Geriatric Nursing Care Unit gives due importance to the spiritual well-being of all residents irrespective of caste or creed. An interfaith room is provided for the same purpose.

Provisions for Respite Care (availing stay for few days) is also available.

Seminar on Importance of Paramedicals in Health Care at LMCON Auditorium on 3.2.2020

For the very first time the Lombard Paramedical college conducted a seminar on the topic IMPORTANCE OF PARAMEDICALS IN HEALTHCARE AT 10.30 am at LMCON Auditorium.Chief guest was DR.R.Shripathi ,Consultant Physician & Pulmonologist of LMH,presided by our MD Dr Sushil Jathanna,Dr Leela Thomas Prinicial Lombard Paramedical College,Dr .B.N.Peralaya Vice Principal Lombard Paramedical College,Dr Ganesh Kamath were the dignitaries on the dias. Mr.A.R.Kini ,Director Amrutha Laboratory,Mrs Martha Sumangala Senior Technical Incharge LMH laboratory were felicitated.Speakers of the seminar were Dr.Prashanth Shetty,Mrs Anju,Dr.B.N.Peralaya,Mr.P.N.Joshi.Around 91 delegates participated from various colleges in Udupi district.Over all the seminar went on successfully.

Alumni Meet on Feb 2nd 2020

Alumni meet was held on Feb 2nd 2020 at LMCON auditorium, Chief Guest was Dr B N Perlaya, Consultant Microbiologist,Vice-Principal of Lombard Paramedical College and Chair Person was our Medical Director Dr Sushil Jathanna, many of our old nursing students and staffs attended the function making it successful one. Varieties of entertainment programmes were conducted.

Lamp Lighting Ceremony 2019

The Lamp Lighting Ceremony for the 1st batch of BSC nursing and 40th Batch of GNM was held on 12th DEC 2019 at 6 PM. The Chief guest was Dr. Judith A Noronha, Professor Dept. of OBG and Associate Dean MCON MAHE, Presided by Dr Sushil Jathanna MD C.S.I LOMBARD MEMORIAL HOSPITAL and Group of Institutions, Dr. Narayan Perlaya Vice Principal of Lombard College of Paramedical Science, Rev. Ivoleen Ammanna Chaplin LMH, Mrs Helen Mathias Nursing Superintendent LMH, Dr Suja Karkada Principal of Lombard College of nursing, Mrs Veena Menezes Principal of Lombard School of Nursing were the dignitaries of the dias. 39 students from BSC and 15 students from GNM have taken the florence nightingale pledge to commence their profession of Nursing. We are proud to inform that this year our batch comprises of students from all over India.

Christmas Celebration 2019

Hospital Christmas of the year 2019 was celebrated on 11th Dec beginning with chapel service at 4 pm by Rev Ivan Soans, AreaChairman,Udupi and Rev. Ivoleen Ammanna Chaplain L.M.H followed by cultural program by the staff and students of L.M.H The prize winners of various competition held on behalf of christmas were awarded. at 8:30 PM a grand dinner was arranged for the guests. Overall the program went on successfully under the leadership of Dr.Sushil Jathanna, Director of L.M.H

Hospital Ward Christmas

Hospital Ward Christmas was celebrated on 14th Dec 2019 at 4 PM, All the Staff of the LMH went to all the wards singing Carols and wishing the Patients, Dr Sushil Jathanna Director of LMH, distributed sweets to all the patients in the wards and also visited Sahajeevana Home for Aged and wished the inmates. The LMH team also visited the LMH group of Institutions and spread the Joy and Happiness of the Christmas.

Inauguration of the College of Nursing (Bsc Nursing Course)

The Inauguration of the College of Nursing (Bsc Nursing Course) September 17th 2019 at 3:30 PM in Lombard College of Nursing Auditorium. It was Inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Mohan Manoraj (Bishop, CSI KSD) and Chief Guest Dr. Shiva Sharan (Syndicate Member, RGHUS). Mr. Vincent Palanna (Treasurer), Dr Y.S Rao (Past President IMA), Dr. Larissa Martha Sams (Principal LMCON mangalore) were the guests of honor.

Inauguration of the renovated OPD

The dedication of the newly renovated OPD block was on saturday 1st of june 2019 at 3pm in lombard memorial hospital.The dedication was by our bishop Rt.Rev.Mohan Manoraj,Dr.G.Shanker was the chief guest and Dr Sukhananda Shenoy,Dr R.Shripathi,Dr Manohar boloor,Dr.Deepa were the guests honour.In this occassion the guests of honour were honoured for their decicated and long term service for our hospital.

CSI Lombard Memorial (Mission) Hospital, Udupi - Celebrating Environment Day

The Environment day was celebrated on July 10 2019 under the leadership of our Director Dr.Sushil.Jathanna, Mr Stanely Karkada was the chief guest who advised the gathering regarding the importance of environment and hazards of deforestation.Saplings were sponsored by Malabar gold and diamonds.Dr Ganesh Kamath,Mr Raghavendra and Dr.Peralaya were also present.Later the staffs and students planted saplings in the premises.
