
Dr Sushil Jathanna Honored with Milestone Global & IHW Global Leaders Awards

Dr Sushil Jathanna, Director of CSI Lombard Memorial (Mission) Hospital, Udupi, has been recognized with two prestigious awards for his exceptional contributions to healthcare services. On September 14, he was presented with the Milestone Global Award, a gold medal, and a certificate of excellence for the hospital at the Milestone Global Awards and Conclave-2024 in Ajman, UAE. The award was conferred by renowned Emirati businessman and philanthropist Dr Bu Abdullah.
A week later, on September 21, Dr Jathanna received the IHW Global Leaders Award at the 10th Integrated Health and Wellness Summit in Dubai. The award was presented by Dr Harsh Vardhan, former union health and environment minister, and Amruta Fadnavis, social activist and singer.
Dr Jathanna's leadership has been instrumental in revitalizing Lombard Hospital, one of the oldest institutions in coastal Karnataka, founded in 1923. Under his guidance, the hospital has evolved into a 150-bed multi-specialty facility, offering top-quality healthcare services to the region.
A native of Mangaluru, Dr Jathanna brings over 32 years of experience in medicine and public health, having held significant positions in both India and abroad. He has served as the CEO of the National Health Service (NHS) in Cambridge and was previously the managing director of Care UK's Healthcare Division. He continues to play an active role in various healthcare organizations, including the Karnataka Chapter of the Association of Healthcare Providers of India and Christian Medical College, Vellore.
