Inter-Church Music Competition

As part of the Centenary Year Celebrations of Lombard Memorial Hospital, an Inter-Church Music Competition was organized on August 15, 2022at the Basel Missionaries Auditorium in Udupi. The event aimed to bring together the church communities of Udupi and Mangalore to celebrate music, unity, and faith through a friendly competition.

Event Highlights:

The competition commenced at 9:00 AM with a vibrant atmosphere as 18 teams participated in the Western Group and 21 teams in the Eastern Group singing categories. The talented church choirs showcased their skills, creativity, and passion for music, making it an exciting and memorable event for all attendees.

Eastern Group Singing:

• Winners: CSI Christha Jyothi Church, Korangrapady
• Runners-up: CSI Kanthi Church, Jeppu
• Special Prize: Christha Vandana Church, Pangala

Western Group Singing

• Winners: CSI Shanthi Cathedral, Balmatta
• Runners-up: UBM Basel Mission Church, Udupi
• Special Prize: Christha Mahima Church, Manipura

The event was a resounding success, bringing together the churches of Udupi and Mangalore in a display of musical talent and unity. Lombard Memorial Hospital thanked all the participants, judges, and volunteers for making the event a grand success. Special mention was made of the winners and runners-up, whose performances stood out for their creativity, harmony, and devotion.

This competition served as an excellent platform for churches to foster closer bonds within the Christian community and celebrate the power of music in spreading joy and togetherness
